Unique Hydra offer a wide range of IMCA compliant and classed (Lloyds Register, ABS, DNV) diving equipment and systems. From diver launch and recovery systems (LARS), decompression chambers to containerised air and mixed gas diving systems. Unique Hydra has built more than 10 classed saturation diving systems. The saturation systems on offer include modular or portable saturation diving systems, DSV saturation diving systems, hyperbaric reception facilities (HRF) and any modifications or upgrades to these systems including fitting an SPHL.
Unique Hydra's Marine Services Division have many agencies, qualified trainers, technicians and operators to support your marine equipment needs. As Kongsberg and MDL agents, Unique Hydra are the preferred dynamic positioning (DP) specialists in Africa. DP services include DP surveys, DP installations, DP repairs and DP training in a Nautical Institute accredited training facility in Cape Town. Other equipment of offer for sale or rental include NDT Inspection equipment (incl. ACFM system and qualified operator), marine survey equipment (echo sounders, sonar, synthetic aperture sonar, and sub-bottom profilers), acoustic equipment (underwater positioning), navigation equipment (integrated bridge systems and workstations, magnetic compasses, AIS, etc), vessel automation (Kongsberg K-Log and AutoChief) and engine monitoring systems. Unique Hydra also offer a comprehensive range of marine communications systems, including portable radios, rescue transponders, satellite antennae, satellite terminals and GMDSS solutions.
Unique Hydra sell and rent the Unique Seaflex brand of flexible buoyancy and water load testing equipment. The WaterloadTM test weight bags are all constructed in accordance with Lloyds Register QA and have passed a 6:1 type load test. The range of water load testing units ranges from 1 ton WLB to 50 ton WLB. A life-raft load testing kit is also available. Unique Hydra also offer a wide range of buoyancy solutions from cable installation buoyancy (SeaSerpent, Mono Buoyancy Units and the Kraken for shallow water use or bottom tows). The Inflatable Buoyancy Unit (IBU) range is from 250kg lift to a 35t unit. Unique Hydra also offer air lift bags (ALBs) from 250kg lift units up to individual 35t air lift bags.

The Unique Hydra engineering team employ a system-level approach and maintain a thorough understanding of current commercial diving legislation, including the latest IMCA and class society commercial diving rules.
Unique Hydra offer a wide range of rental equipment from individual commercial diving equipment like decompression chambers, diver launch and recovery (LARS) units to complete containerised diving systems. The flexible water load testing weights and lift bags are also available for rent. A qualified ACFM operator can be provided with a rented ACFM unit. Other equipment available for rent include: marine positioning and telemetry equipment, echo sounders, gyros, Hydrographic equipment, Doppler logs, sonars, magnetometers, underwater positioning equipment, special ROV and survey equipment, underwater camera and video equipment, cathodic protection equipment and NDT equipment.
Unique Hydra offer dynamic positioning training at a Nautical Institute accredited training facility. DP introduction, DP basic and DP advanced training courses are scheduled throughout the year. Unique Hydra also offer Kirby Morgan (KMDSI) maintenance and repair technician helmet and band-mask courses. In conjunction with the National Hyperbaric Centre, Unique Hydra also offers the following courses: Assistant Air Supervisor (IMCA) course, Client Representative course, Diving System Auditing and Assurance course and Dive Technician course.
