Description:
- The external gas regeneration system is designed to circulate gas from inside the chamber system and remove high levels of CO2, humidity and correct the temperatures to preset parameters required by the controller.
- Carbon Dioxide is removed by usingchemical absorption techniques. Humidity in removed by condensation of the water vapour and heating or cooling of the gas applied to provide the optimum environmental temperature for the occupants.

- Heating system
- 18 kW electrical elements are supplied to heat up a glycol mix that is then pumped around the heating circuit. The heated glycol is passed through a stainless steel heat exchanger.
- Cooling system
- 2 x10,5 kW R22 cooling compressor circulates refrigerant through a plate heat exchanger cooling a glycol mixture.

Heat from the compressors is removed from the system by a shell and tube refrigerant condenser using ships supply sea water. - An inlet water regulator for ship water supply pressure variances.
- Chilled glycol mixture is circulated via a centrifugal pump and pumped through a stainless steel dehumidification and cooling heat exchanger.
- Heliox gas is passed through the dehumidification heat exchanger and then directly afterwards through a centrifugal water separator.
- Electrical system
- Main electrical supply power requirement - either 380VAC, 3 phase, 50Hz, or 440VAC, 3 phase, 60 Hz - 40 Amps
- Control circuit electrical supply power requirement - 220/240VAC, 50 Hz,16 Amps
